The Big-12 Conference Down To Ten Teams, Is Soon To Lose Another Team!

What is going on with the Big-12?
Once the Big-12 was won of the most powerful conferences in football, now teams are leaving. Colorado is now apart of the Pac-12 Conference and Nebraska is apart of the Big-12 Conference. Texas A&M now wants to move to the SEC, which has been the most powerful football conference in the NCAA.

Texas A&M is unhappy being in the same conference with Texas. The longhorns have there own television network, that will draw Texas revenue. Texas A&M a proud school themselves just did not agree with it and therefore want to leave the conference to go to the SEC, where they feel they can gain more notariety. The Texas longhorns said, if A&M leaves the Big-12 they would never play A&M again. Even though the aggies are upset with what the longhorns are doing, A&M never said that they did not want to continue their rivalry game against Texas on Thanksgiving weekend.

Texas A&M will be leaving the Big-12 conference.Sources say the announcement will come as early as Tuesday, no later than Sunday after their first game of the season. A&M's agreement could smooth out their transition to the SEC conference. Once the announcement has been made Texas AM will apply for SEC membership and have the bid approved by 9 out of 12 schools.

Restructuring of Conferences Note:

When restructuring of conferences began, the Pac-10 was wanting to transition with the Big-12 conference to have Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Nebraska, to create a power conference, called the Pac-16. Texas' coach Mack Brown withdrew his invitation to the Pac-10, to keep the Big-12 conference together.By doing so, he was considered a savior to the Big-12 conference. Now the Big-12 conference has more problems than ever.

Questions:

How will the Big-12 conference manage, drawing lesser competition?

Will the Big-12 conference survive?

Will the Big-12 conference be like the old Southwest conference, by dis-banding?

Will the power teams Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State join Colorado in the Pac-12?

Will there be a Pac-16 after all?

Known Fact:

Texas A&M No More:

2011 College Football Season In Review

Before the college football season begins, there have been some changes in restructuring some conferences, that will take affect this season. The Pac-10 is now the Pac-12, which include Colorado and Utah. The Big 10 added Nebraska to their conference to have 12 teams, now the Big-12. Both Pac-10 and Big-10 having twelve teams in their respective conferences, that will allow them to have a conference championship game.
Utah is the big winner here by moving to the Pac-10, now in a BCS conference, which impacts them nationally. Utah should have an impact in the Pac-12, since most of their conference games are being played in Salt Lake City, UT. The alttitude could have an affect on the conference opponents. Teams from the old Pac-10 have not played in high alttitude. Only time will tell, but Utah is still a talented football team.

Nebraskas' playing style fits the Big-10 style of play. The Big-10 likes to run the ball and play hard nosed defense, which Nebraska should fit in nicely. Bo Palini Nebraskas' coach played college football in the Big-10 with Ohio State. He's familiar with the Big-10 and their style of play, the move could rejuvinate the "huskers," football program.
Boise State is the other team that's moving this year, going to the Mountain West conference. TCU will be moving to the Big East conference in 2012.

The frontrunners to go to the 2012 National Championship game according to the pre-season pol are:

1. Oklahoma (36 First Place Votes)
2. Alabama (17)
3. Oregon (4)
4. LSU (1)
5. Boise State (2)

6. Florida State-Experts are talking about how talented and loaded they are. That they could possibly be a strong contender for the Jan 9, 2012 National Championship game.

However, there are several teams that have enormous talent that can compete for the National Championship game. Questions will be answered in the weeks to come. This looks to be another exciting college football season. Who knows there could be another team like the 2011 National Champion Auburn Tigers, who snuck up on everyone to be the best team. It does not matter what the pre-season poll says, it's the outcome that matters.

"That's why we watch scoreboards every Saturday from early September thru Jan 9, 2012."

THE ROAD TO THE "2011 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP," BEGINS THIS COMING WEEKEND SEPT 3, 2011!!!!
